Hi everybody!
Welcome once again to the Daily Drabble, a crash course into the history of the Drabble comic strip, with more insight into the life of a cartoonist than you ever wanted to know! (Our paid subscribers receive honorable mention and thanks for enduring my stories and pictures!) It has been quite an experience for me to revisit so many of the 16,000+ comic strips I’ve drawn in 46 years. Most of them bring back lots of memories of my life at the time I drew them. Anyway, thanks for taking the ride with me!

I wonder if Wendy really likes Norman deep down inside. I still don’t know, but I’ve always wondered.

Henderson the cat was an early character. He was named after Pete Henderson, of the comedy team of Skyles and Henderson. I never met him, but he used to come in to the restaurant that my mom waitressed at in Laguna Beach, CA. He would occasionally sit-in with the band that performed there. She said he was nice guy who liked Drabble. That was good enough for me. He got his own character!

The ghost of Norman’s original comment can be seen a bit on this hand-drawn strip!

I didn’t realize until now that Bob has been around longer than both Wally and Oogie.
And a belated Happy 3 year anniversary to the Daily Drabble!
