Hi everybody!
A few years back there was a Hollywood management company that offered to make me a big star. I told them it might be harder than they think, but they insisted they could do it and seemed excited about it. (I’ve been in several entertainment- related meetings over the years, and they always seem excited about it.) Step number one was to meet with a writer who would prepare a biography about me that would knock the socks off potential producers and directors. I met the guy for lunch and we talked for a couple of hours. We had a follow up meeting the next week to show me what he had come up with.
He told me that I was the most boring person he had ever interviewed. You do your work, you pick your kids up from school, you coach tee-ball, you’re a nice guy… THERE’S NOTHING HERE TO WORK WITH!! I tried to tell him my tee-ball team was really good, but it didn’t seem to matter. Oh, well…I thanked him for trying anyway. I TOLD them it would be harder than they thought.
Our weekend’s worth of original Drabble artwork…
