Hi everybody!
The 100th birthday of Charles M. Schulz was November 26th. I just happened to be in his hometown of St. Paul, Minnesota on that day and we took a few pictures of where he grew up.
His childhood home.
Schulz’ father was a barber. This is the street corner where his father’s barber shop used to be. Above it was the apartment where Schulz lived before they moved to the bigger house. The shop and the apartment are now gone.
In nearby Rice Park, St. Paul honors its favorite son with some amazingly good statues of the PEANUTS characters.
I was in Minnesota that day because we were visiting our daughter’s family for Thanksgiving. On Saturday (Schulz’ birthday) my daughter and son-in-law loaded all of us in the family van for a little excursion. My wife had mentioned to them that it might be fun to see where Sparky grew up. My daughter mapped it out. She even found his elementary school. It was a very fun day!

Love the pics!!
Great pictures! So, weird question. Did you ever just for fun, try to create your own Peanuts strip? I can't even come up with a good Drabble joke, let alone draw anything, but you're the pro!
