Hi everybody!
I was going through some old original strips and came across some that I had drawn for Seventeen magazine. In the early 80’s, shortly after Drabble started running in newspapers, Seventeen magazine asked if they could run an exclusive Drabble strip in every issue. These strips were only for Seventeen and have not been seen in over 40 years. I’ll show you some of them after we look at our strips from today’s date.

I assume they wanted to include a Drabble strip in each issue because I was so young at they time. Maybe they thought I knew what teenage girls would find entertaining. (Ha Ha!) Anyway, here are a few of the exclusive strips drawn for Seventeen.
I’ll show you some more from Seventeen tomorrow.
By the way, please consider a gift subscription to The Daily Drabble! It includes access to archived posts (over 400), a free autographed Drabble book, as well as seeing every post in its entirety!
Thanks or reading!

These are great! One of the things I love about this newsletter is the opportunity to see rare strips like the ones included here!
Just think, all those girls who read Seventeen magazine and the Drabble strips in them are now reading Fifty Seven Magazine.
That December 22, ‘89 strip sounds like the Lions defense these days
I’m surprised Ralph didn’t tie lower on Norman’s head to make it a gag.
