Hi friends!
August 26th is an important day in my house. It’s the official start of the Christmas season.
Actually, today is our youngest son’s birthday. That has always been a big day because my wife likes to plan celebrations and, beginning today, it’s one celebration after another. In a couple of weeks it will be our grandson’s birthday. A few days after that, our daughter’s birthday and a few short weeks after that it will be our other son’s birthday . Just a couple of weeks after that it will be Halloween, and then Thanksgiving and before you know it, it’s Christmas again! Time really flies around here beginning on August 26th.
It works out well since, because of deadlines, I have to start thinking of December cartoons pretty soon.
Anyway, here are 3 Drabble strips from August 26.
1985
Ralph’s early days as a wrestler. I’m glad I later changed his costume.
2002
2019
This happens in my house almost every day. My wife constantly has music playing in her head and she’s always startled when I come back home from somewhere. So many comic strip ideas come from real life. No, I don’t wear wrestling outfits!
Thanks for reading. Have a great weekend!

i have been looking for the classic Drabble, at least in our home, when he looks in the mirror and asks 'when exactly did i become a geezer?'. anyone have a copy of that classic or know where to find it. yes, my wife's birthday is coming up. thanks!
My grandmother listened to some classic rock (ie David Bowie) when she cleaned. But she was hard of hearing so you could hear the music from about a block away.
