We have three original Drabble strips from the 1980’s today.

April 17, 1986

It has been a long time since Neil appeared in Drabble. As I’ve mentioned, Neil looks a lot like the main character I used to draw in college, and the main character that I first submitted to the newspaper syndicates. United Feature Syndicate asked me to change his look, so he turned into Norman Drabble. The original character wore glasses. I wanted to keep him around somehow, so I removed his glasses and made him the editor of Norman’s school paper. You’ll be able to see Neil again in Wednesday’s Drabble comic strip (In the newspaper and at www.gocomics.com/drabble).
