Hi everybody!
I was just thinking this morning… In 45 years, I’ve never missed drawing a Sunday strip. That’s a pretty good streak. We had to use repeat strips for one week of dailies (6 strips) in 1983 due to a death in the family, and we used another week of repeat strips in 2008 due to illness. But I’ve never repeated a Sunday strip!
As summer approaches and we think about upcoming travel, I’ve been encouraged to relax and just run repeats. Most others do it and I may have to, but I keep scrambling to get ahead. I just don’t want to break the streak. I have a Cal Ripken baseball card near my drawing table for inspiration!
