Hi friends!

Do you have any idea where the term “mall cop” originated? Me neither. But I do remember being at a mall in the early to mid 80’s, and I saw a mall security guard in uniform for the first time. Before that, I think they only wore shirts with the word “security” on the front or back. The first time I saw one looking very official, wearing a ranger hat, with a white shirt and tie and a stripe on his pants, I knew that Ralph Drabble was going to have a new career!
